This is an extremely rare classic shape GC8 STI Type R in feather white. It is a version 6 so this makes it one of the last classic shape Impreza STI's to have rolled off the production line before the GDB chassis was introduced. These cars are extremely raw and rare with little creature comforts unlike modern sports cars. Saying that, this does have factory electric windows, air conditioning, ABS etc, the basics, yippee.
These classic, rally bread cars were initially built for competition use but some did make their way onto Japanese roads and very few were exported around the world given import restrictions for various countries.
In the UK, we were fortunate enough to see the P1 which was imported into the UK by Prodrive as a base spec STI 2 door coupe and then converted. Brief spec: EJ20 Engine with forged pistons as standard, 5 Speed STI DCCD Gearbox, Driver Controlled Centre Differential, R180 Rear Differential, Forged Prodrive Alloy Wheels, Un-equal length headers, Original Catalysts still in place!
